Symptoms
Symptoms can vary depending on the severity of the conditions and how much the nerves are affected. Early symptoms include weakness, numbness, tingling, or burning pain that may evolve into muscle spasms and less mobility in arms and legs. Loss of balance may become an issue as well.
Causes
Neuropathy is caused by damage to the nerves or the protective coverings around the nerves. There are many different causes and the most common include: diabetes, medication, and injury. Neuropathic pain can have a negative impact on a person, both physically and emotionally.
